Summary: 

The Metering industry is at the forefront of revolutionising energy management, providing vital solutions for commercial giants and smaller enterprises. As the industry faces significant growth, success in this space is crucial for sustainable energy management globally.

Our client specialises in metering and remote metering solutions and handles a high volume of inbound sales, primarily from repeat business and a diverse range of clients.

With the launch of a new e-commerce platform, our client is transforming their sales approach from transactional to relationship-focused, aiming to expand existing accounts and nurture historic relationships. 

Our Client is now seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to drive this evolution, to achieve a revenue target of £1.2M for this financial year, up from 860K last year. With plans to increase headcount, purchase other companies and implement new systems, the progression opportunities are endless!


Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve organisational goals.
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify threats and opportunities.
  • Set sales targets, performance metrics, and sales quotas for the team.

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Train and mentor a high-preforming sales team.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to sales representatives to enhance their performance.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
  • Address customer needs and concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
  • Develop strategies to expand the customer base and enter new markets.

Sales Operations:

  • Monitor and Analyse sales performance metrics to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other departments to align sales strategies with overall company goals.


You Will Need To Have/Be:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse data, understand market trends and competitor information.
  • A Result-orientated individual with a strong drive for achievement.
  • Experience in metering, sub-metering, and remote metering is essential.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a related field with a proven track record of success.
